Beta testers migration fees

Hi everyone ,

to follow up idea of @Bitcuriousmom and @Aldin answer , beta testers are paying huge amount of fees to transfert their asset

Legacy ----- smart wallet (legacy now ) ------ V2

Can we make proposal on snapshot this week and sending plr to the few beta testers that have this problem.

Beta testers should not pay for this kind of migration

thanks

I’m sorry I haven’t been in forum. This is months old. So thank you Jay Jay for thinking of me and sharing this idea in forum.

where are we with this ?

@denis Can you assist with this idea that i post in august 2021 ?

Is Pillar team grateful for thoses beta testers that pay huge fees with one goal , helping the team to build this wallet …

I’d love to support this proposal. To refine it a bit, we should estimate what kind of budget do we need to make this happen.

@Kio_Pillar do we have a list of V2 beta testers and can we check how many of them still haven’t deployed their V2 wallets? It would be key information to get things moving here.

i would suggest to add fees that people pay when they have to move their funds legacy---- old smart wallet ---- v2

That’s a good point.

One thing I’m not so sure of is funding migration between legacy and the old smart wallet - that could have been done in prehistoric times of very low ETH tx fees and I don’t think we should be covering that now. It makes much more sense to fund this for beta testers/governors looking to migrate from old SW to V2.

Like I promised in the last gov call, I’ve made a short form which will be used as an estimate on the overall sum needed for reimbursement of all beta testers who contributed in one way or another.

If you are in touch with people who tested, but are perhaps not active here, please find a way for this to reach them, we hope to gain an accurate estimate so we can take this further into a highly possible proposal.

Find the form below, if you struggle finding hashes but are absolutely certain you did multiple things, just leave a comment and we will do some manual searching if it’s needed (will take more time).

Thank you @JayJay for pointing out. If you participated with your legacy (migration, swaps etc.) leave a note in additional things form, that way we can count in migrating fees too.

I genuinely have been reluctant to migrate because of the amount of times it had to be done before.
This then impacts my experience of the wallet

Hey Denis any new around this topic :boom::+1:

Responded in the gov house, will do a similar answer here in case someone misses it there. We’re in a process of making a form which should attract all governors, active and inactive. And since the last form on that wasn’t active (it had 5 people filling it up), we’ll need to attract attention first so we can collect other information on it.

This one will be more detailed, so those who had issues on the last one should do fine here.

Hey Denis where are we with this ? ( up)
