ICO Holder loyalty failure needs to be addressed!

I posted this in Jays Forum, but am saying here too…

After speaking with you Jay in Discord, I agree wholeheartedly that We The ICO Holders have been completely treated like garbage (In my opinion). We put up our hard earned ETH (When I think about how many ETH I put into this project it makes me ill). We Bought into the ICO, Held because we believed in the project and the team, We held as it ran up to $1, and never sold as we believed in project and team. We held even after the team refused to even discuss the price, and never even bothered to list the coin on a single exchange. I was forced to deploy and pay hundreds of dollars in fees to do so, so I wouldn’t miss out on future opportunities. We held and we stacked over the YEARS of support. And now I am informed that I will get ZERO rewards in the Airdrop simply because I don’t use Twitter. Do you all think that by screwing over your long term supporters in exchange for new supporters that it will create loyalty, especially after this Garbage. Shame on the Pillar Team, this is the ultimate Slap in the face for long term loyalty in the project. I hope you all make this right, because what you are doing to the ICO supporters is disgusting!

The airdrop campaign’s purpose is to spread awareness of the project and our collaborations with side-chains solutions (Polygon) and one of multi-chain exchanges (Paraswap). There was a proposal up for more than a month which clearly stated what the purpose of the airdrop is and how it is going to work, there was never at all mention of special loyalty bonuses or anything alike since this was meant for oncoming members. Why you didn’t state your disappointment then I have no idea.

And honestly, we very well know why a good portion of those shaming us constantly are here, and that’s to wait for the token to finally rise and then say a long peaceful goodbye. I understand the frustration around the token and everything surrounding that, that’s the only ongoing discussion regarding our faults for a very long time now. The airdrop campaign will spread awareness and swapping for PLR is a must, we have a really good increase in user numbers and less than a week has passed. We have a stacking campaign which was delayed which is very much thinking about longer term holders who don’t want to dump the tokens and that we’re looking to get up and running as soon as possible.

We could have made special amends to the proposal in time to benefit older holders, but there was never anything raised surrounding that so making adjustments now is going to be a very tiring thing to do and wouldn’t be fair since it was never discussed previously.

This is a marketing activity to get more adoption for the wallet, token and brand awareness hence ultimately benefiting the existing token holders and the Dao in generating revenue. This is in no way meant or should be seen as the project neglecting it’s loyal members, however if we don’t push for more adoption and recognition the project on the whole risks becoming irrelevant.

TL;DR:

The airdrop campaign is to spread awareness and recognition of the project, because if we don’t look to adopt, rewarding loyal members will never be possible because we would never see growth. We first must thrive in order to reward those who were here from the very beggining.
