Summary: Implement phone number onboarding, like whatsapp or telegram, allow sending of crypto-assets to be sent to your contact list. Leverage Pillar Payment Network to send tokens to your contact gas free and allow normal transactions to be sent as well.
Abstract: Should this proposal pass, Pillar Wallet will onboard phone numbers from users, verify their phone number and create a list of contacts who have also onboarded on the Pillar Wallet using their phone number. Users will be able sent invitation to other users as well in their contact list to invite them to use PLR (leveraging network effect with free premium services).
Motivation: Sent crypto-assets to your friends easily instead of using addresses or ENS. Allow Pillar Payment Network to be used for sending assets to friends would be on par with best practices (like Revolut). There is a massive gap in the market for this kind of solution.
Specification:
Implement phone number verification during onboarding of new users.
Implement access to the address book of the user.
Create contact list of users who have also onboarded on Pillar Wallet.
Allow invitation list to user’s contac tlist to install Pillar.
Allow sending and receiving of assets via Pillar Payment Network for gas fee transactions.
